I have heard it said that leadership is lonely. But with great partners, it doesn't have to be. In its best light, leadership is a team pursuit.
After a lifetime of experience in independent education, I know the importance of being adaptive, curious, and forward-facing. I actively work with schools and leaders to leverage their adaptive literacies on behalf of students. Whether I am aligning a K-12 curriculum; revising a professional growth and development framework; designing and conducting qualitative research; articulating a vision for a new program or practice; recruiting and training teachers; or developing leaders, I draw on literacies gained over the span of my experience in independent schools.
I credit my success as a teacher and leader to the great people who have been on my team since the day I stepped into my first high school English classroom many years ago. In all that I do, I strive to pay their mentorship, and my learning, forward.
